Wood panel doors are delivered in stain grade or paint grade and are available in meranti plywood, hem fir, cedar and other wood species. Wood doors also have a number of window styles and glass types. Panel styles are flush, recessed, or raised panels. Unlike steel garage doors, the more panel designs on a section are typically more expensive. A short panel with 8 squares across will typically be more money than a panel with only 4 rectangles. Panel sizes can be mixed and matched to create unique looking panel doors. Panel doors are available with or without insulation. We rarely recommend any door without insulation. Insulation adds to the energy efficiency and the quietness of the door as it moves. Additionally, insulation reduces noise from the street.

Most steel and wood garage doors you see in neighborhoods are panel doors. These doors are made in a variety of panel styles with different insulation levels. Panel doors can be supplied with or without windows and are available in a variety of colors. If you need a garage door replacement quickly due to damage, you most likely will choose a steel panel garage door. Stock garage door panel styles are usually long panel, short panel, flush or carriage. Stock colors are usually white, almond and sometimes sandstone. If your garage door is a standard size you can get your door replaced 1-3 days after your garage is measured.
